Feast of Agnes of Prague

St Agnes of Prague (1197-1230) a royal princess, becomes a "Poor Lady" in Prague. St Clare of Assisi sends five Poor Ladies from Italy to join with Agnes and six other rich young women to commemce a Poor Clare Monastery. St Elizabeth of Hungary (1207-1231) patroness of the Secular Franciscan Order was a cousin of St Agnes of Prague. Resources can be found under the heading: Franciscan Saints.
